Radiesse and Restylane are dermal fillers administered through injections under the skin to help reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles or creases for both men and women. Precautions:
Safety for use during pregnancy, in breastfeeding females or in patients under 18 years has not been established. As with all skin-injection procedures, there is a risk of infection. Patients using medications that prolong bleeding, such as aspirin or warfarin, may, as with any injection procedure, experience increased bruising and bleeding at the injection site. Patients should inform their physician if they are using such medications. Patients should minimize exposure of the treated area to extensive sun or heat exposure for approximately 24 hours after treatment or until any initial swelling and redness has resolved. Safety and effectiveness in the periorbital area has not been established. The safety of RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler in patients with a susceptibility to keloid formation and hypertrophic scarring has not been studied. Patients with a history of previous herpetic eruption may experience reactivation of the herpes.
Radiesse and Restylane use
Radiesse adds depleted collagen from your skin so as to plump up folds and smooth out deep facial wrinkles. This dermal filler can also be used to enhance the look of acne scars around the lip. The filler is injected on areas between the nose and mouth or on the nose sides. Radiesse can also plump up flattened cheeks and lines occurring around the eyes. Restylane is administered in the same way but is injected deeper and will likely treat vertical lines above the lip that mostly affect smokers.
Restylane is small particle filler that can work well for fine lines around the lips. Restylane is a hyaluronic acid (HA) which makes it to be easily dissolved even with a lump occurrence. Radiesse does not get dissolved in lump removal. Pricewise, Radiesse is more expensive than Restylane. Radiesse and Restylane results

Restylane re-injections are more frequent compared to Radiesse re-injections. As with most cosmetic procedures, complications should always be reported.
